One night I dreamt I was a star gypsy child.

Dream Written In Present Tense

This world is in chaos. Some people pick me up and want to stick me in an orphanage, and I keep trying to explain that I am not an orphan. I’ve simply become separated from my people, and I need to get back to my ship, Sky Starflower.

Everyone thinks I’m nuts, and they are ready to send me to the orphanage where they drug all the “crazies.”

Luckily, my deep sincerity and ability to speak from my truth convinces a caretaker at the orphanage to risk his job by letting me escape with another orphan. He figures if I am crazy, the other child can bring me back.

My last chance to reconnect with my starship is about to pass. I am racing toward a beach town in fiesta mode. The streets are full of fireworks, music, dancing, acrobats, and all kinds of carousing. It reminds me of Sayulita, Mexico.

I can see my ship and people flying low and unseen above the town. It’s full of bright twinkling lights that match the colorful lights of the town. The starship has taken on the form of an old Spanish galleon floating in the night sky like an enchanted reverie. My people are looking for me, but they have to go. I can see they are about to give up and set their course for the next star system without me.

I start screaming as I’m running, “Sky Starflower! Sky Starflower!”

Now my orphan friend can see the starship, and he races to keep up with me. I’m flying through the streets and down towards the beach, and finally my people can see me screaming for their attention.

I’ve been found.

With my people,

I am at home among the stars.
